Caviar from Privada Cigar Club Rare Subscription

Date Smoked: 10/02/2023

Today, I ventured into a world of luxury, courtesy of the Privada Cigar Club Rare Subscription. Within this treasure chest of fine smokes lay the Caviar cigar, a delight I couldn't wait to explore. As I engaged with this unique curated selection for Brian’s Birthday Box, it was evident that this was more than just a cigar; it was a journey through intricate and captivating flavors.

Cold Draw:

Upon the cold draw, the aroma was the first sign that this was no ordinary experience. It whispered promises of hay, peat, and a subtle dash of salt, setting the stage for what was to come.

First Thirds:

The curtain rose with a grand entrance of flavors. The initial puffs unleashed a symphony of pepper, hay, and toasted notes, akin to a burst of fireworks in the night sky in the distance. As I delved further into the first thirds, the plot thickened, and I discovered toasted almonds, elegantly accompanied by a subtle sweet honey. These almond notes lingered on the palate, reminiscent of a delightful encore after a grand performance.

Mid 3rds:

In the second act, the draw revealed itself as a well-rehearsed actor, hitting its marks perfectly. The flavors from the first thirds maintained their roles but added depth to their characters. A touch of cream made its debut, introducing a softening element, like a subplot that enhanced the storyline. Simultaneously, hints of salt joined the ensemble, blending seamlessly. The cigar remained medium-bodied, offering an opportunity to taste the vintage essence woven into the blend, a testimony to its craftsmanship and aging.

Last 3rds:

As the final act approached, all the flavors I had encountered reappeared, with dashes of salt and pepper returning to the stage. The honey notes, like a skilled manager, maintained order in the background, ensuring that the performance was harmonious and unforgettable.

In Closing:

The Caviar cigar was nothing short of a masterpiece. Its upfront richness of almonds, complemented by hay, cream, and subtle salt accents, created a symphony of flavors. The two-year aging lent the cigar a mature sophistication that made it truly exceptional. In a fitting tribute, this cigar was gifted to me through the Privada Cigar Club to celebrate Brian's birthday. I would highly recommend this smoke, particularly as part of a rare, limited edition collection.

Final Thoughts:

As the curtain falls on this extraordinary journey, I am reminded that cigars are more than just tobacco; they are stories, experiences, and celebrations of craftsmanship. The Caviar cigar, with its rich tapestry of flavors, stands as a testament to the wonders that exist within the world of cigars. It invites all cigar enthusiasts to embark on their flavor odyssey and savor each moment with delight. 🌟🚬
